Association
The Engineering College, Kakinada has been established in the year 1946. The students who have successfully passed out of the college are spread over the world and quite many of them rose to very senior and commendable positions. The quite many students of this college are residing in Hyderabad city.
Alumni meets have been taking place over a period of time (past 20 years) but during the meet on 8th January, 2006 held at the Botanical gardens, Kondapur, it was decided to form a registered association to facilitate improved fraternity and periodical meets.
The Alumni wanted to form an association to facilitate activities of common interest to the Alumni of the College.
The Association gratefully remembers Sri KSVN Appa Rao and Sri Kadali Gopalakrishna (Retd. from BHEL as GMs) for their excellent initiative. First EC 2006&07

And the same volunteers also registered the Hyderabad Alumni Association of JNTU College of Engineering, Kakinada under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act (2001) at the Office of the Registrar of Societies at Hyderabad on 31-August-2006 with the Registration No. 1209 of 2006. The Bye Laws:
A few volunteers have been identified. And they in turn formulated the Bye Laws of the Association. Bye Laws
Vision:
To play a vital role in building up fraternity among the alumni of the August Institution, spread over the globe and promoting the excellence of the mother institution.
Mission:
To facilitate the alumni to serve the institution in making it a world class institution in the educational standards, by contributing to modernise the laboratories and to help the students with scholarships and placements.
Main Objectives:
- To provide a forum to establish a link between the alumni world-wide.
- To provide a forum to establish a link between the alumni world-wide, staff and students of University College of Engineering Kakinada.
- To enable the alumni to initiate and actively participate in activities which would contribute to the general development of University College of Engineering Kakinada, its staff and students;
- To institute prizes and scholarships, and render financial aid to deserving students of University College of Engineering Kakinada.
- To organize and enable the networking and interaction on activities of common interest among alumni of University College of Engineering Kakinada.
- To maintain a benevolent fund to help individual member of alumni in case of distress.
- To approve/promote establishment of units, chapters in different geographical locations having adequate congregation of alumni members.
- To do all such things as may be deemed incidental or conducive to the attainment of the foregoing objects.
Members
Any Alumnus of JNTU College of Engineering, Kakinada is eligible to become member. An Alumnus can become a Patron or a Life Member by duly submitting the membership application and paying the prescribed fees. On receipt of the application of an alumnus to join the Association, the Executive Committee approves to admit the individual.
You may agree that there will be at least 4,000 Alumni of our college living in Hyderabad. But, we have only 91 Patrons and 296 Life Members in the Association as on 18-October-2022. We request all of you to enroll as Patrons / Life Members. The membership is not limited to Hyderabad alumni. Only when we grow in number, we can take up many more activities. We request the youngsters to come forward to take lead in the activities. They have all the freedom. The qualifying contribution for Patrons is Rs. 10,000/- & more and for Life Members is Rs. 1,000/- & more. It is pooled into the Corpus Fund and it is held in the form of FDs in Punjab National Bank, Bowenpally, Hyderabad. The interest earned only qualifies for utilisation for the activities of the Alumni Association. Membership Form
Executive Committee
It consisits of President, Vice Presidents, Secretary, Joint Secretaries, Treasurer and EC Members.
President: Leader of the Executive Committee and decides the conduct of the Association with the help of the other members of the committee through guidance and carrying the members with him. However, in instances of lack of unanimity the opinion of the majority will be taken as the decision of the Executive Committee.
Vice President: In the absence of the President, the Vice President discharges the duties of the President.
Secretary: Responsible for executing all the decisions of the Committee with the help of Joint Secretaries and other members.
Joint Secretary: Joint Secretary help the Secretary in executing all the decisions of the Committee.
Treasurer: Responsible for the proper maintenance of the accounts of the Association and payments will be made in concurrence of the Secretary and shall furnish a statement of accounts for the financial year and get it audited by the Auditor appointed by the General Body and get it approved in the next immediate Executive Committee and General Body meetings.
Advisory Council
It is consists of President, Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer and Patrons. The Advisory Council gives suggestions for the non routine activities which are of prime importance like, utilization of the Corpus Fund/ large funds, for any noble cause.
General Body
It is consists of Patrons and Life Members. The General Body is the supreme authority in all matters concerning the activities of the Association. The General Body Meeting will be convened at least once in a year. It is usually conducted along with Annual Alumni Meets every year. Recent AGM 2019
