Annual Alumni Meet - 2012

JNTU, Kukatpally

The meet was organised over lunch starting from 10:00 AM on 18th November, 2012 in JNTU, Kukatpally. It is attended by 77 alumni and with families. The participants are about 125. Unlike the previous meets, this time it is utilised in networking and the alumni to express themselves over the stage.


General Body Meeting:

A resolution has been passed by the General Body that the Association should request the administration of JNTUH to allot a place for the Alumni Association to function better.

It is also decided that in future we should meet on 3rd Sunday of November instead of 3rd Sunday of December to avoid the problems of severe winter at that time.

Sri GS Rama Rao once again appealed to the younger generation to come forward and lead the alumni association and explained that he considered himself as a care taker and not a Secretary. There was uproar of the alumni to continue as a Secretary.


Felicitations:

Sri YN Rao, 1965 batch alumnus has been felicitated. He served BHEL in senior positions and very active in social activities. He is presently Chairman & Managing Director of Sokeo Power.


Alumni Expressions:

As announced, the alumni have been invited to share their experiences and views.

Sri T Ch Hanuman Rao (1977, El), Sri K Gopalakrishna (1970) and Sri Chandra Turaga took this opportunity.

Sri Hanumantha Rao was all praise for Sri Adinarayana Sastri, alumnus of the first batch (1950) who was present in the meet for his guidance in the early stages of life which laid foundation in his life.

Sri Gopalakrishna expressed his fondness for Sundarakanda and he distributed the copies to all the alumni.

Sri Chandra briefed the status of the Sports Auditorium and how it was started during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of our college. He appealed to all alumni to liberally donate.
