Annual Alumni Meet - 2013

Our meet on 1st December, 2013 in JNTU, Kukatpally is attended by 155 alumni and with families the participants are about 220. The 30 of alumni registered during the meet as Life Members which is the largest number so far. Now the strength of LMs is 280. The 2 of alumni joined as Patrons. And now the strength of Patrons is 45.

On long standing desire of the members, group photos have been facilitated by the Association.

General Body Meeting:

The long awaited task of auditing has been completed for all the 7 years (since inception of the Registered Association till March 2013) with the strong support of Sri Sankar Rao, President. By the end of October, 2013, the bank balance including the deposits is Rs. 9.56 lacs. The Association has been formed in March 2006 and has grown slowly in 7 years to this stage.

The Executive Committee for the term 2014-2015 is elected by the General Body with our Patron Sri CK Murty (1965, Mech) as the President in absentia.

Jyothiprajvalanam:

The following Alumni have done the Jyothiprajvalanam.

Sri Yadavalli Adinarayana Sastry and Sri P Narayana Reddy alumni of the FIRST batch (1950).
Sri P Jayachandra Reddy, Patron and Wg Cdr N Somasekhar Rao, Patron represented the Golden Jubilee year alumni (1963 batch).
Sri Chandra Turaga (1969, Telecom), 1st Patron and 1st Treasurer of the Association.
Sri A G K Rao (1954, El), Life Member and President of the Association for the term 2010-2011.
Sri P Suryaprakash (1986, Civil), Life Member of the Association and the Architect of the Indoor Stadium.
Sri Madhusudhan Rao, Patron of the Association represented the 1979-83 batch.

Felicitations:

The teams of alumni who worked for the realisation of Indoor Stadium and Mini Auditorium have been felicitated.

The Indoor Stadium is a contribution of many Alumni of all batches spread over the Globe. The following have been felicitated:

Sri Chandra Turaga (1969, Telecom), 1st Patron and 1st Treasurer of the Association.
Sri A G K Rao (1954, El), Life Member and President of the Association for the term 2010-2011.
Sri P Suryaprakash (1986, Civil), Life Member of the Association and the Architect of the Indoor Stadium.

The Mini Auditorium has been realised solely by the 1979-83 batch in a record time of ONE year.
Sri Madhusudhan Rao, Patron of the Association has been felicitated who represented the 1979-83 batch.

Sri Dasaradha R Gude (1982, ECE), our Patron and President of the Association for the term 2008-2009 responded to the appeal of Sri Chandra Turaga and promised to collect Rs. 25 lakhs from their batch of alumni towards the further progress of Indoor Stadium.

The Screening of "Tirumala Alaya Darshanam":

A film directed by our alumnus JVL Narayana depicts the in depth details of the temple of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala and runs for 45 minutes has been screened as a prelude to the General Body meeting.
